Full Job Description

  • Delivering engaging and informative History lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and ethos.
  • Assessing student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enrich the History department's offerings and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of current historical scholarship and pedagogical approaches.

    Bachelor's degree in History or a related discipline.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching History at the secondary level.
  • A strong grasp of historical content knowledge and pedagogical skills.
  • A passion for inspiring a love of history in young learners.
