JOMOC Land Air - Senior Operational Meteorologist

We're looking for an exceptional Senior Operational Meteorologist to join the JOMOC Land Air team to help us make a difference to our planet.

This job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work. We're seeking to appoint a permanent Senior Operational Meteorologist, and we also have a temporary position available (until August 2025) which has the potential to develop into a permanent position. We will also look to create a reserve pool to fill future permanent or temporary vacancies that may arise over the next twelve months. Your world of expertise You will provide global on-site embedded and remote environmental services to enable the UK and Allied armed forces to gain operational and tactical advantage during deployments. Working at Northwood Headquarters you will typically cover a mixture of different day and evening shifts, and you may be required to work 100% of the role from the Northwood office at very short notice. You will be required to participate in covering an on-call requirement for shift extension including switching to night shifts at very short notice.
