Full Job Description

As a Junior Activities Playworker you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, organisation, and delivery of activities for children. Including our afterschool clubs, parties, and kid's camp. You will contribute to creating a safe and engaging environment for children to play and learn., Managing accidents/incidents and completing accident report forms.

- Setting up and packing away rooms, ensuring they are ready for use (e.g., function room, swimming pool).

- Handling problems or situations to minimize disruption during sessions.

- Demonstrating best practices and providing constructive feedback to the team when necessary.

- Collaborating with the JA management team by providing feedback after each shift.

- Communicating effectively with parents and delivering excellent customer service.

- Assisting in the development and implementation of age-appropriate activities and programs.

- Supervising and engaging with children during playtime, prioritizing their safety and well-being.

- Encouraging social interaction, teamwork, and positive behaviour among children.

- Assisting in the setup and maintenance of play areas, equipment, and resources.

- Following health and safety guidelines to maintain a secure environment.

- Actively participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in child development and play work.

At Colets Health and Fitness Club you will be working towards a Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship Level 2 over the course of 15 months.
