Full Job Description
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is Britains national regulator for workplace health and safety. We are dedicated to protecting people and places and helping everyone lead safer and healthier lives.
The Change Team sits within our Operational Services Division and is comprised of three key pillars:
+ Transformation Office, ("TO")
+ Programme & Project Management (PPM)
+ Change & Business Improvement (C&BI).
The last two pillars contain professional practitioners who are deployed to projects and programmes within HSE. These two practitioner pillars are each led by a Head of Change and supported by a Practice Lead.
Our Business Analysts work within a team of change professionals responsible for driving the delivery of HSEs strategy. As a Junior Business Analyst in the Operational Services Division of HSE, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals as well as operational and subject matter experts from HSE divisions, supporting Business Analysts, in designing, building, and implementing new operating models and digital services. There is a focus on strategic priorities, efficiency, effectiveness, regulatory outcomes, and improving the user experience.
You will receive direction and guidance, from senior members of the change community, to support you in developing your Business Analysis skills, knowledge, and experience.
Working Pattern:
Part time working hours are available for this role. We can accept part time applicants who can commit to working a minimum of 30 hours per week., You will work within multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of the various organisational benefits and enhancements. You will be responsible for supporting work across digital and transformation projects to articulate business and user requirements, design and implement new services, processes, organisational structures and ways of working. You will also provide continuous improvement support to HSEs operations., + Support more senior Business Analysts and Change & Business Improvement Managers with the design of people, process and technology solutions that improve user experience and maximise business outcomes.
+ Support with the identification of stakeholders and the building of relationships, to effectively engage and manage those stakeholders through the change / transformation journey.
+ Produce models / maps / documentation for user journeys, businesses processes and operating procedures.
+ Identify, document, and manage requirements, and support the development lifecycle of new solutions.
+ Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, under both Agile and Waterfall project delivery and governance processes.
+ Undertake analysis to understand business objectives and how a business area works, considering the people, organisation, processes, information, data, and technology.
+ Support with business readiness and the successful implementation of changes.
+ Take ownership for improving your knowledge of Business Analysis, Business Change and Agile principles, methods, and tools.
+ Contribute to the wider Business Analyst community

Your CV will be marked using a benchmark against the essential criteria. If candidates pass this benchmark, they will be marked on their Personal Statement, including the lead essential criteria and then the 250 word Behaviour Statement on the lead behaviour.
