The Impact You Will Have Based in London and reporting to the Head of Property, Entertainment, Natural Resources and Construction Claims (UK) you will work on Natural Resources & Construction claims including Inherent Defects Insurance (IDI). You will drive excellence in the claims handling service provided to brokers, clients and internal customers. Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

Supporting team members and line manager in the effective management of claims and portfolios, including designated processes
Resolve Natural Resources & Construction ("NR&C") claims, ensuring cost effective, service-oriented solutions - including IDI claims
Process standard indemnity and expense payments
Input and maintain accurate claims records (e.g. notes, reserves, payments)
Process standard indemnity and expense payments
Produce management information reports (e.g. monthly major claims movements)
Prepare referral documentation and materials as appropriate
Report loss information internally and externally
Work with other functional areas in Claims handling process
Actively review claims account queries (reinsurance etc.) and support claims team, accounts and wider functions to reconcile.

Be keen to learn from the technical experts within the team and progress a career in complex claims handling
Have a basic understanding of NR&C Insurance, reserving principles, coinsurance and reinsurance
Be proficient with Microsoft Office, and used to learning new systems
Be able to use data in order to provide meaningful analytics
Have excellent communication skills, able to create and maintain solid relationships at every level within the organisation
Ideally previous experience in the field of NR&C claims
Ideally a professional insurance qualification
