Full Job Description
The successful applicants will be working as a Junior Clinical Fellow in our AMU and Acute Assessment Unit. Duties and responsibilities are equivalent to MT02-MT03 level, depending on experience. The posts have a job plan of 10 clinical sessions Monday to Friday. This is currently at 9am-5pm but there is flexibility within this and we will work with the successful applicant to allocate these sessions at a time to suit the unit and them. The successful applicant will be required to support evening and weekend work on a rotational basis., In general, duties will include:
- Clerking patients in
- Reviewing the ambulatory patients
- Helping in the development of the ambulatory service, including helping to write pathways and streamline processes
- Help with liaison with primary care to ensure good communication
- Clinical examinations and case note recording of patients (both elective and emergency).
- Attending ward rounds as required
- Organising laboratory, radiological and special investigations.
- Training in and performance of clinical procedures.
- Writing discharge certificates, TTOs and letters There will be opportunity to take part in the weekly education sessions and work closely with all members of the multi disciplinary team.
