Full Job Description
The LAS CT posts are the unfilled posts from the Wales Deanery Core Psychiatric Rotation from North Wales. Junior Clinical Fellow posts are new posts created within the Health Board for purposes of service provision but they have similar opportunities to attend teaching, clinical supervision, support and building e -portfolio. The post holders will participate in an on call rota for each site they will be based in.All the posts start with immediate effect. Applications from International Medical Graduates who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome.

We will support study leave and help you towards building your e-portfolio with a view to get on to psychiatry core training rotations. A number of our Junior Clinical Fellow Doctors have been successful in entering core training rotations in psychiatry in the recent years.Applications are invited for the posts of LAS CT 1/2/3 level doctors and Junior Clinical Fellows in Acute Care, General Adult and Old Age Psychiatry in North Wales.Base will depend upon service needs across the three main inpatient units in Wrexham, Bodelwyddan and Bangor. Role may require travel between sites therefore the ability to drive would be advantageous., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply., Professional Essential
- Full registration with the General Medical Council
- MBBS or equivalent qualification Desirable
- Experience in psychiatry Eligibility Essential
- Eligible for full registration with the GMC at the time of appointment and holds a current licence to practice.
- Either: Evidence or current employment in a UKFPO affiliated Foundation Programme
- Or: 12 months experience after full GMC registration and evidence of achievement of foundation competences . Fitness to Pratice Essential
- Is up to date and fit to practice safely, Written and spoken English skills to enable clear communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues
