PLEASE NOTE it is a requirement of this Trust that all successful applicants pay for their DBS certificate if a check is required for the post. This will be done through deduction from your monthly pay over a maximum of three months. It is also a requirement that all successful applicants register or are registered with the DBS update service where a DBS is required.
All new entrants to the NHS will be appointed on the minimum of the pay scale in line with Terms & Conditions., The posts will primarily be based within the Medical Directorate and there might be opportunities to work in a variety of Medical specialities including Cardiology, Stroke Medicine, Elderly Medicine, Acute Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Emergency Medicine.
You will be assigned a clinical supervisor and will be encouraged to keep a portfolio of your experience as well as participating in all departmental educational opportunities and attending outpatient clinics whenever possible., + Responsible for the admission, clerking and day to day care of their patients on the General Medical wards, as assigned.
+ Participate in the on-call rota.
+ Participate in audits and current research projects. These are available through individual Consultants.
+ Attend the active postgraduate programme with weekly lectures, radiology, medical and pathology meetings, and medical unit presentations.
+ Participate in the teaching of Foundation Doctors at the bedside as well as to Medical Students.
+ Attend practical procedure training.
+ Involvement in Quality improvement projects.
+ To maintain a good working relationship with existing staff members in the hospital.
+ To perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate Consultant in conjunction, where practicable, with their colleagues both senior and junior.
