Junior CNC Programmer

The role will involve offline programming for Biesse 3 & 5 Axis CNC Machines using bSuite/bSolid software. You will be interpreting CAD drawings and cutting lists provided by production designers. A significant part of the role will involve working as part of the wider department to meet production targets, reduce waste as well as developing programmes and components for various ranges of furniture.

Key aspects of the role:
1. Offline programming for Biesse 3 & 5 Axis CNC machines.
2. Interpreting 2D CAD drawings provided by the Production Design team.
3. Ensure completed components and parts are sent to the correct departments promptly and manage incoming material levels.
4. Monitor various 3 & 5 axis CNC machines and associated tooling with the help of shop floor staff.
5. Working as part of a wider team to ensure manufacturing and development targets are achieved.
6. Developing programmes and working with operators to reduce down time and waste.
7. Contribute to a range of development projects across the wider workshop environment.

The role will be split across our two Shepshed sites and may require occasional Saturday work. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team alongside our operators and programmers, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have an interest in furniture manufacture and cabinet making. Previous experience with CNC machines would be beneficial but is not essential as on the job training will be given.
