Junior Commercial Manager Onshore Renewable Energy

Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like PV/Solar. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our Solar operations further. BA Wind is responsible for the development, construction, and operation of wind power. We manage the maintenance, operation, and continuous improvement of wind generation assets, safely and with the highest levels of availability and profitability. We carry out the sourcing and development of wind projects as well as having the full responsibility for wind project execution. We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with overall wind strategy., Vattenfall is now looking for the high potential to join our Onshore Operations Team as a Junior Commercial Manager on a fixed term contract. You will work within our country team supporting the Commercial Managers and also work alongside the country Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams who are responsible for safely operating and maintaining Vattenfall's onshore renewable energy assets. The Onshore Commercial Managers look after all commercial aspects of Vattenfall's onshore windfarms, which are situated in the UK, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark. The country Commercial Managers work together as a Virtual Empowered Team (VET) and you will have an important cross-country role within the Commercial VET, supporting the resolution of commercial issues, including analytical and administrative support to maintain commercial and operational performance. This is a one year fixed term contract and offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop experience working in the Renewable Energy industry. Previous successful candidates have gone on to secure further opportunities within Vattenfall. Your Responsibilities as a Junior Commercial Manager You will support the commercial management of Vattenfall's onshore wind farms in line with Vattenfall Group strategy, policy and procedures. In your role you ensure information in contract and commitment management platforms are maintained and updated as required. Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure commitment management systems are up to date and accurate
• Prepare and maintain contract management files for key contracts
• Prepare and maintain commercial logs for contracts and leases
• Be the lead for lower value procurement activities
• Provide support on tenders for new higher value contracts together with the other Commercial Managers and the Procurement team
• Prepare and maintain database of framework agreements for use by Onshore
• Prepare simple amendments to existing contracts as required
• Be the key contact for internal recharge processes for hybrid sites
• Responsibility for team administration of the Commercial Virtual Empowered Team
• Collate quarterly reporting requirements ready for submission
• Provide pro-active support to commercial managers and country operations teams as and when required
• Day to day commercial management of contracts, variations and claims relating to contractors providing service to onshore wind farms;
• Contribute to the commercial input of warranty projects ;
• Commercial-technical cross over topics;
• Transition of developing projects from the construction phase into Operations;
• Stakeholder relationships both internal and external
• Cross country and central projects as required
• Supporting the Commercial Team with stakeholder relationships
  
  Your Qualifications as a Junior Commercial Manager
You have recently graduated with a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Legal, or similar. Furthermore you will bring the following behavioural competencies
• Good team player, with the ability to influence over a wide network of co-worker relationships and work in multicultural teams
• Some demonstrable experience and interest in renewable energy is a major plus
• Great communication skills both verbally and in writing
• Be results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and produce concise information
• Self starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision and take the initiative
• Being willing to travel to the various countries in which Vattenfall has onshore wind turbines
• A proactive approach to Health, Safety, Security and the Environment
• Willingness to take on ad hoc work tasks and assist the team where needed
