Full Job Description

In this role, you will work in Healthcare Analytics. We lead the analytics capability for Healthcare and Pathway Management within UK Insurance. Providing analytical insights for identifying, developing, and optimising our clinical pathways, improving the quality, experience, and affordability of the care we commission for our members. Our work involves complex data analytics, statistics and epidemiology on data relating to patient care. You'll help us make health happen by:

  • Support on designing and delivering robust and highly effective analytic solutions and projects to identify areas of inefficiency, help design pathway solutions, and estimate the value at stake for our transformation activities to enable data driven decision making.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to design and develop MI which will support data-driven decision making. Assess in-life performance of all our healthcare improvement initiatives and report that through internal performance tracking processes.
  • Substantiate the benefits of our healthcare improvement initiatives so that the business can then market the healthcare advantages Bupa can offer to our customers.

    Newly qualified graduate with a track record of wanting to work in healthcare and data analytics.
  • At least a bachelor's degree in a numerical or analytical related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Motivated to learn and stretch beyond comfort zone.
  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Technical skills:
  • Experience with statistical packages and software e.g. R and/or SAS, and SQL (preferred).
  • Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint (desirable).
  • Experience in developing and using statistical models to analyse data and draw conclusions. (preferred).
  • Experience using visualisation software such as PowerBI, Tableau and/or R-Markdown. (desirable).
  • Communication skills:
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to provide input into, feedback on, and follow a project schedule.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
