Full Job Description

  • Fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing broking team in Bowring Marsh, Norwich, working on the International Casualty product line, delivering quality professional service to clients, colleagues and markets.

  • The successful candidate will provide support to Bowring Marsh Norwich and London based colleagues in servicing a large multi-national portfolio of business.

  • With 10 offices in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Continental Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, United States and Bermuda, our Bowing Marsh teams cover a range of Insurance products across the following areas : Property, Casualty, Terrorism, North American Property, Life Sciences and Mining., Distribute underwriting submissions to Insurers / Reinsurers and follow up for quotes

  • Make sure all binders have been signed, sent to retail / producing offices and fronting company prior to coverage taking effect

  • Finalise subjectivities from retail / producing offices and distributing the information to respective Insurers / Reinsurers

  • Request / provide Reinsurance Certificates from retail / producing offices to provide to Insurers / Reinsurers

  • Request final policy form from retail / producing offices, checking form for outstanding subjectivities, sending it to Insurers / Reinsurers and following up to ensure that it is finalized

  • Execute standard endorsement requests from retail / producing offices to Insurers / Reinsurers

  • Put together placement and claims information for submission to London back-office

  • Handle matters regarding premium billing and reconciliation for the Client and Insurers / Reinsurers

  • Handle basic communications with retail / producing offices and with underwriters

  • Effective control and management of internal targets in respect of Workflow / Contract Certainty / Premium Warranties / Payments / MRCE Workflow / Late Signings

  • Monitoring and tracking of MRCE documents

  • Broking of MRCEs / alterations identified within the de-broke / tidy process

    Excellent interpersonal skills, ideally with experience of dealing with internal and external clients

  • An interest in improving service and performance

  • The ability to understand the needs and objectives of internal and external clients and execute accordingly

  • The flexibility to adapt different approaches or styles to situations

  • Ability to plan prioritise and complete work within strict timeframes

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to cope with cyclical nature of the business
