Full Job Description

A learner-focused Trainer to work as part of the Information Technology Clinical Services (ITCS) Training Team, supporting KCH and GSTT staff using Epic applications.

The post-holder will be based within either the Outpatient or Diagnostic and Emergency Department training teams. The post-holder will deliver training across a wide range of Epic applications.

They will support the Team in the analysis, design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of cross-organisational training solutions for clinical and non-clinical staff.

There will be opportunities to develop skills and experience across the Epic application areas, including opportunities for Epic certification.

There is a requirement for the post-holder to be on site a minimum of 3 days a week across both GSTT and KCH sites.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of a team, analysing,designing, delivering, implementing and evaluating IT (Digital) training based on internal and external competencies and standards. You will support all other members of the ITCS Training department.

You will prepare and deliver formal and informal learning solutions to groups and individuals using a variety of methods. Including but not limited to: online learning, classroom-based learning, on-site coaching, demonstrations and eLearning.

The post-holder will support staff queries, incidents and requests, raised via IT Service Desk Tickets or email.

The applicant will have knowledge and expertise about the NHS, culture, best practices and patient pathways.

The post holder will develop knowledge of adult learning, digital learning technologies, facilitation skills, coaching, ADDIE framework and learning/performance knowledge and skills.

The post holder will contact all sections of the ITCS Training Team, ITCS department, transformation team and the clinical and non-clinical staff across GSTT, KCH of all grades from all specialities and departments.

The post-holder will liaise with senior managers, attend meetings relating to training. Support and deliver presentations, learning solutions and coaching to large groups of staff.

The post-holder will be expected to support at 24/7 NHS Service and there is an occasional requirement to work out of hours, including evening, nights, weekends and public holidays.
