Full Job Description
The Orthopaedic department is one the largest in the country with 10 consultants covering all aspects of Paediatric Orthopaedic surgery. It is an accredited major trauma centre and provides a secondary service and tertiary services for the region. We have specialists in neuromuscular disorders, congenital hip dysplasia (baby hip clinic), child and adolescent hip problems, limb deformity correction. Paediatric knee problems We have the largest specialist paediatric upper limb unit in the North of England and a specialist clubfoot service. There are a variety of MDT's with other hospital specialities and specialist teams., To provide high-quality care to paediatric patients with orthopaedic and spinal conditions and injuries as part of a multidisciplinary team in a tertiary referral hospital and major trauma centre. The role involves managing both elective and emergency cases, participating in on-call duties, and contributing to research and teaching activities.
