Full Job Description

The role of this post is to support Manchester Royal Infirmary in the delivery of care for Acute Medicine (AMU) and the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) departments.

The clinical level expected of applicants applying is FY2 or above. The candidate must have a desire to work in the field of medicine, with an understanding of the complexities of this population. They should have a good experience, competencies and background of this area and be prepared to work independently with the support of consultants.,

  • Medical Degree from a recognised University.
  • Minimum 6 months NHS experience in an acute speciality.
  • GMC Registration.
  • Between 2 and 5 years of postgraduate experience (its equivalent gained on a part time basis) or equivalent experience and competencies.

  • Previous experience of acute medical setting.
  • Eligibility Essential
  • Full GMC registration
  • Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies in line with GMC standards/Good Medical Practice
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK

  • Applicants need demonstrable skills in written and spoken English that are adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues
