Junior Management Accountant

We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Junior Management Accountant for maternity cover of up to 12 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of multi-company accounts, to include managing those financial accounts, preparing management accounts for all businesses, and providing financial advice to the management team.

Duties:
· Preparation of management accounts

· Balance sheet control and account reconciliations

· Bank Reconciliations

· Credit Control

· Cashflow forecast

· Month end tasks

· Accruals and prepayments

· Variance analysis

· Preparing, posting or reviewing month end journals.

· Raising sales ledger invoices

· Preparing and electronic filing of the VAT return

· Pension submissions

· Processing company payroll

· Processing payment run

· Year end accounts preparation

· Present financial information and insights to Directors

· Overseeing transactions across both accounts payable and accounts receivable

AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified/part qualified preferably, although different levels of experience will be considered

- Previous experience in accounts

- Good working knowledge of MS Excel

- Proficiency in using Xero accounting software (not essential)

- Able to organise and prioritise own workload in order to meet deadlines

- Excellent communication skills

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative

- Strong teamwork ethic
