Full Job Description

We are looking for a near qualified or newly qualified Chartered Accountant to join our Finance team. Your role will include the co-ordination and preparation of the monthly management accounts, reporting on variances and providing commercial insight. You will be working closely with the business to assist with day-to-day finance management and identifying any commercial risks or opportunities to improve the business' position.,

  • Monthly management reporting, this includes posting journals, preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, preparing accruals, liaising with finance representatives to finalise results
  • Analyse monthly results for senior management and be able to explain variances month on month and versus forecast
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated reporting for Group and external party submissions to tight deadlines
  • Ensuring that reporting is compliant with all relevant accounting standards and keeping up to date with new reporting standards that may impact the company
  • Working with various group entities and reconciling inter-company transactions including foreign exchange transactions and transfer pricing
  • Reviewing finance processes to ensure that improvements are made continuously to help the businesses run more efficiently
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and working closely with our auditors and tax team
  • Assisting with system implementation projects and other ad hoc finance projects where necessary
  • Managing creditor and debtor ledgers, ensuring there are minimal unreconciled transactions, and dealing with queries regarding payments or receipts
  • Preparation and filing of annual PAYE Settlement agreements as well as quarterly VAT and CCL returns

    Qualified or near-qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Advanced excel skills is preferable
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and present to senior management
  • Knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS accounting standards
  • Demonstrate ability to liaise with stakeholders and external parties confidently
  • Organised and self-motivated, able to multi-task and prioritise to meet deadlines
  • High focus on accuracy and attention to detail
