Full Job Description

  • To work as an autonomous practitioner; to assess and provide treatment of a caseload of patients, who may have complex and/or chronic presentation, and to form a diagnosis and develop treatment programmes, and to maintain records.
  • To have workload managed by senior staff and work under supervision of senior staff, with access to a senior member of staff or manager at all times
  • To assist senior staff in the supervision and teaching of physiotherapy assistants and undergraduate physiotherapy students, and be involved in the teaching of staff from other disciplines
  • To undertake evidence-based practice, and participate in departmental research, service development, and audit To adhere to Trust policies and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Code of Conduct, Health Care Professions Council Code of Conduct and be guided by National Standards where they exist to develop departmental policies and best practice care. To actively promote and develop equality and diversity practices and strategic management in this area in order to promote equity of access of care for patients and equity of access to job opportunities and development opportunities for staff.
