Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Operational Services Manager with the directorate of Child Health / Staffordshire Children's Hospital, Royal Stoke to join us on a fixed term period due to the current post holder obtaining secondment role. We are looking for a hard working, reliable individual to support the Senior Management team in ensure efficient and effective operational management. Main duties of the job The post holder will be required to assist the Senior Management team in the efficient and effective operational management of the directorate in order to deliver continually improving high quality patient care within the resources available. The post holder will need to assist and where appropriate lead Divisional projects, providing regular update reports on the progress of work and additionally be able to work flexibly in order to deliver the directorate agenda. The post holder will work closely with the Operational and Senior Operational Services Manager, provide general administrative support, represent the Directorate on specific committees, lead on reports to ensure good data quality, aid in Validation for the Directorate.   • GCSE Maths / English or equivalent
  • Higher Education
  • Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience Essential
  • Experience of working in an Acute Trust
  • Working knowledge of the 18 week RTT pathways
  • Experience of RTT Validation
  • Use of Microsoft Office Package
  • Desirable
  • Good knowledge of NHS IT Systems
  • Personal Qualities Essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Good self-organisation skills
  • Ability to work in pressured environment
