Full Job Description
This role is central to the delivery of exceptional visual content across Lifestyle, Business & Finance, Sport, and Travel pillars for The Telegraph Media Group's commercial partnerships. As a Picture Research and Content Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with a dynamic team of editors, designers, project managers, and sales representatives to source, produce, and deliver compelling visual assets that delight our clients and audiences. This position combines creativity with meticulous attention to detail and organisational prowess.,
- Extensive Picture Research: Conduct thorough and comprehensive picture research across various sources, including photo libraries, client archives, and public relations materials, ensuring all content is appropriate, high-quality, and aligns with the project brief.
- Content Production Support: Assist in the commissioning and production of bespoke photographic and video shoots, tailoring content to meet the specific needs of clients across a diverse range of categories such as Lifestyle, Business & Finance, Sport, and Travel.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with editors, designers, project managers, web producers, and sales teams, ensuring all visual and multimedia content is delivered to the highest standard while meeting deadlines and aligning with commercial objectives.
- Creative Contribution: Play a key role in brainstorming sessions, contributing creative and innovative ideas for photography and video treatments, helping to produce content that resonates with clients and engages their target audiences.
- Client Image Updates: Manage client-directed image amendments and content updates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while adhering to strict schedules and quality expectations.
- File Organisation: Archive and label all visual assets meticulously, maintaining a well-organised and accessible database to support future project needs and ensure compliance with licensing and copyright requirements.
- Copyright and Licensing Compliance: Verify all imagery and multimedia assets adhere to copyright laws, licensing agreements, and industry standards, with a particular focus on their use within a commercial context.
- Administrative Support: Provide a range of administrative support for the department, such as managing timelines, coordinating shoot logistics, and maintaining up-to-date records across multiple ongoing projects.
- Client Communication: Act as a point of contact for visual content-related queries, ensuring client requirements are fully understood and implemented accurately.
- Project Management: Balance competing priorities across multiple projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time while maintaining a consistent level of quality.
Expertise in Picture Research: Proven ability to conduct fast and efficient picture research tailored to both print and digital media platforms, ensuring content meets creative and commercial requirements. - Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of industry-standard software, including Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, and InDesign, alongside familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) tools,Google Suite, and Microsoft Office programmes.
- Organisational Skills: Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy even under pressure.
- Effective Communication: Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams and external clients.
- Commercial Awareness: Demonstrable knowledge of sourcing content from image agencies in a cost-effective manner, ensuring value for money without compromising on quality.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision in managing client image amendments and labelling files, ensuring that all work adheres to project specifications and industry standards.
- Adaptability and Resilience: A calm and focused approach to working under pressure, able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of creativity and accuracy.
- Passion for Photography: An evident interest in photography, coupled with a willingness to learn and take on responsibilities for planning and coordinating photo and video shoots.
