Full Job Description

As a Junior Power BI Developer, you will play a key role in the provision and reporting of information to support operational and corporate needs of the Trust and completion of mandatory National returns. Reporting to the Power BI Developer and accountable to the Head of Business Intelligence Technology and Data Architecture, you will work closely with managerial and clinical staff and support the Power BI Developers in their delivery of services to patients.

We are looking for someone with maths 'A' Levels or similar qualifications, evidence of continued personal learning in a technical field, and educated to a degree standard or similar qualification. You should have experience in a similar role and excellent knowledge of computer systems, specifically Microsoft Office. Experience of working with relational databases and knowledge of data analysis through either qualifications or experience is essential. You should also have a good knowledge of the NHS Data Dictionary and previous experience of working in a healthcare setting.

You will have advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel/Access/Word) and Microsoft SQL/SSIS or similar technology. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential, as well as good keyboard skills. Python or similar web language, and project management skills would be an advantage for this role.

In addition, you should be well-mannered, approachable, willing to learn, and a team player. You should also be able to work on your own initiative, be methodical with attention to detail, and have the ability to work across sites.
