Junior Sister

To develop high standards of care and work with the Outpatient Sisters/Charge Nurse to ensure public/patient involvement in care standards. To encourage feedback from patients & relatives. To be responsible for managing all health and care aspects of individual Outpatient clinics including patient assessment and the cleanliness and safety of the Outpatient environment. To develop the health promotion function of Outpatients with the Outpatient Sisters/Charge Nurse. To undertake specific clinical care dependent upon the Outpatients speciality. To contribute to the continued development of the department and support the implementation and evaluation of new projects/ developments. To support an efficient and timely patient journey through the Outpatients Department. To assist when necessary with the definition of nursing standards and maintain the provision and effectiveness of those standards. The post holder will ensure that they are aware of all issues relating to Clinical Governance,
Quality assurance and Clinical Effectiveness and that they carry out their duties in accordance with these frameworks and standards. To assist when necessary with the initiation and evaluation of any projects or research appropriate to the services provided within the ward. Please refer to the job description for job description.
