Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the speciality medicine directorate for a band 6 nurse to become one of Acute Medicine and Endocrine Ward (C5) deputy managers'. You would be working alongside other band 6 nurses ', supporting the band 7 ward manager within an established nursing team.

This post would suit a dynamic individual with good leadership skills to co-ordinate the ward's nursing team daily activities. Relevant knowledge and clinical experience in the provision of excellent patient focused, evidence-based care delivery is essential.

The opportunity would suit a mentor with excellent communication skills, who possesses substantial experience at band 5 level, preferably within an acute medical setting.

Applicants must demonstrate evidence of recent professional development and having pursued a leadership course, together with having studied a Diabetic module would be advantageous. You will be supported within your role by a ward manager, practice educator and clinical matron.
