Full Job Description
Patients remain within the unit for a maximum of 48 hours and are admitted into specialty wards or discharged home. We maintain very close working relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. The unit also has a well-established treatment suite for ambulatory care.
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the team on the Acute Assessment Unit at Maidstone Hospital for a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse. - Registered Nurse
- Evidence of further study since qualification
- ENB998 (or equivalent) knowledge skill, Evidence of continuing education - diploma / degree level
- Advanced Life Support provider Experience Essential criteria
- Experience in acute hospital setting.
- Experience at Staff Nurse Band 5 (or equivalent)
- IV drug therapy, IV cannulation & venepuncture skills
- Evidence of insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and NHS
- Expert clinician Desirable criteria
- An understanding of caring for acute medical patients classed as Level 2 Skills Essential criteria
- Leadership skills
- Evidence of problem solving and decision making skills Desirable criteria
- Computer / IT skills
