Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated nurse who aspires to lead and is looking for a new challenge at the Royal London Hospital's Major Trauma Ward.

You will be a motivated and inspirational, caring and compassionate individual to integrate the supportive team on our 17 bed unit, being a role model to our junior staff and work collaboratively with other members of the MDT.

Your role will be to provide a high standard of individualised care to patients, acting as a role model and supporting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in driving quality care provision forward. Your role will be to promote/develop and maintain a culture within the Ward/Department in collaboration with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse which challenges and questions practice and promotes the quality of thinking amongst practitioners.

You will be expected to provide clear clinical leadership to staff, deputise for the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in her/his absence and run the day-to-day of the ward.

You will have a sound clinical knowledge of the unique clinical needs of trauma patients and a desire to deliver the right treatment in the right place at the right time. In addition to your clinical expertise, you will have an interest in developing your leadership style and work collaboratively with other non-clinical teams to develop these skills., o To provide the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualized, holistic patient care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team;

o To supervise and teach junior members of staff and learners as required, and maintain own personal development with support

o To take a leading role on a daily basis by being in charge of the ward, participating in management activities and actively engage and deputise for the Ward Manager
