Junior Sous Chef - London

To assist the Sous Chef and the Senior Sous Chef in developing and delivering all meals in the Hotel, health, food safety procedures, and HACCP, as well as coordinating and participating with all kitchen operations, menu development, and planning.

You will estimate food consumption assist with ordering and maintaining stock inventory, and ensure our highest standards and food presentation, portioning, and taste are according to our exacting standards.

You are responsible for mentoring, coaching, and developing the Chef in cooking and skills. You will be trained on leadership skills in case the Senior Sous Chef or Executive Chef is absent in the kitchen.

A Junior Sous Chef is ranked directly below the Sous Chef; the Junior sous chef provides training and leadership to cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure high productivity, excellent teamwork and food production that meets campus dining's ambitious standards.

We believe in flexibility and multi-skilling, and you may be asked to do different tasks from time to time to enable us to meet the needs of our guests and talent.

You will work with brilliant talent across the Hotel so that we are one team delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience.

• Minimum of 7 years of working experience as a chef


• Minimum 1 year as a Junior Sous Chef in a 5-star hotel or fine dining restaurant with a high volume


• Fluent English is spoken and written


• Ability to direct and plan food preparation


• Ability to provide consistent food quality


• Great attention to detail


• Ability to lift and carry crates supporting the kitchen staff with the setup of the kitchen and deliveries


• Ability to stand for several hours


• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
