Full Job Description
The Neurosurgery unit provides a range of specialist procedures both spinal and cranial involving multiple specialities to Hull and East Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
We are looking for a self-motivated and dynamic nurse with excellent clinical nursing and decision-making skills, allowing them to deliver a high-quality service to patients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Charge Nurse and work with the Nursing team in providing direct high quality patient care. It is expected that the junior sister will deputise in the absence of the Charge Nurse and ensure a positive patient experience through the delivery of high standards of patient care ensuring the right care in the right place at the right time. The post holder will be required to rotate on a 12-month basis in Major Trauma Ward to provide support and clinical supervision to junior member of staff.
We would welcome previous experience in Neurosurgery to apply for this post, you will have a passion and willingness to learn new skills to specialize in this field. You will be supported by the experienced Neurosurgical team to develop clinical and managerial with a full training package.
The hours of work will include days, nights, weekend and bank holiday cover on a rotational basis., The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Charge Nurse in providing effective nursing leadership supporting a team of nurses ensuring the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of conduct is at the forefront of the team's nursing care
In addition, the post holder will be required to work closely with The Charge Nurse and the Multidisciplinary team in the provision of a high standard of individualised patient care, thus improving the patient experience.
