Full Job Description

As a KDN Operational Readiness Lead you will play a crucial role in implementing and supporting the KDN Transition processes, specifically the Operational Readiness Review phase, for new business ventures, acquisitions and organisational change. You will have a good understanding of the M&A Deal phase, an excellent understanding of Transition Management and be an expert in Operational Readiness planning, execution and reporting. The role involves coordinating Transition and Operational Readiness activities with AE&I Work Stream Leads and other Cross Functional teams to ensure a seamless cutover of services at Service Commencement Date (closing). In your role you will establish and lead the Locations Onboarding Project Management Office (PMO), developing, implementing and managing industry standard, best practice project management controls in the Transition phase. You will also be responsible for the initiation and management of the Operational Readiness Review phase for each project, engaging with key stakeholders and developing and driving completion of the critical checklist. You will develop phase exit criteria that will facilitate securing a GO decision. How you will make your mark Project Management Office (PMO)

  • Establish the KDN Locations Onboarding Project Management Office (PMO) including onboarding of resources for each project.
  • Assist in the development and then the ongoing management of the transition project plans including timelines, milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement industry standard, best practice Transition project controls including but not limited to Risk and Change Management, Governance and Status Reporting.
  • Develop and publish weekly Status Reports and the Executive Summary.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the KDN Location Onboarding team.
  • Liaise with the KDN Communications Lead to provide regular transition news, project status and progress updates.
  • Conduct post-transition reviews to perform lessons learned and identify areas for continuous service improvement.
  • Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR)
  • Work with AE&I Work Stream Leads, Delivery Centre Leads and SMEs to develop Operational Readiness Critical Checklists.
  • Engage participants, schedule and host regular Operational Readiness Review meetings, to update the Operational Readiness Critical Checklist.
  • Develop a comprehensive Operational Readiness Review report to demonstrate overall status and progress of the Operational Readiness Review phase enabling a 'GO' decision prior to Service Commencement Date (SCD or Closing).
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop the Hour-by-Hour Plan.
  • Work with key stakeholders to agree a period of Early Life Support and coordinate how that will be implemented and tracked.
  • Establish and host the Transition Control Centre (if required).
  • Manage execution of the Hour-by-Hour Plan, during the cutover phase, until complete.
  • Secure formal approval to the handover of services from the Transition team to the to the BAU team.

    A good amount of experience in project management
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS Project skills
  • Strong communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in transition management disciplines, with experience planning and executing projects and programmes
  • Self-motivated and output focused
