Kennel Assistant

The successful applicant will be expected to conduct the following tasks:

Maintain a safe working area in line with unit standing orders and the Health and Safety at work act.

Responsible for dog husbandry. (Providing two walks and two feeds a day).

Keep kennels and free runs clean and hygienic and free from dog waste.

Be fully conversant with standing orders for fire, emergency procedures, health and safety at work, COSHH, and the official secrets act.

Work some weekends and public holidays in rotation with civilian and military colleagues. Maximum notice of the need to work outside of core hours will be 1 week. Time off in lieu will be granted.

Oversee canine retirement programme and update memorial wall with photos and write ups.
