Full Job Description
- Responsible for maintaining tactical relationships with key customers in the Commercial and Defence Aerospace sectors
- Provide the CML General Manager (GM) and Business Development Manager (BD) with strategic business assistance and information as required.
- Liaise with BD to maximise any future potential opportunities.
- Provide the Senior Management Team (SMT) with weekly reports on customer delivery and quality performance, customer satisfaction, future demand requirements and general updates - report format and timescales to be agreed.
- Liaising with the customers on any delays to our delivery programme or delays in their requirement need
- Provide updates to commercial, production, engineering and Senior Management if any changes to requirements of product, delivery, numbers etc are raised by the customers
- Responsible for ensuring the Purchase Order Contract Review process and Orders are processed in a timely and accurate manner (Receipt to booking 3 days).
- Monitor and ensure all production deadlines for key customers are met with CML to maintain the highest levels of delivery performance and customer service.
- Work closely with the CML Contracts team to gain a full understanding of customer Master Supply Agreements (MSA) and Work Package Agreements (WPA) to ensure contracts are being adhered to by all parties.
- Work with the CML Estimating and Procurement departments to ensure all material price increases are reviewed and passed over to the customer if appropriate.
- Provide Account Management support for New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure the customer and Teledyne expectations are being met from a customer service perspective.
- Work with BD to develop, implement and use an effective Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to document customer interaction and data records.
We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins., Experience of working in an engineering manufacturing business - Would be ideal if you have current or previous experience working within an Aerospace manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of composites products would be of benefit, but not essential
- Experience of working in a customer facing, liaison role within an engineering/manufacturing business
- Understanding of production environment and schedules, with experience of planning in these environments would be of benefit
- Experience of liaising with established Defence and Commercial Aerospace environments General skills:
- Ability to communicate with all levels of an organisation both over the phone and in person.
- Strong in building relationships and trust between parties.
- High attention to detail with an ability to communication complex situations effectively.
- Proactive with good problem-solving skills and an ability to work through issues as they occur.
- Ability to take ownership of a task and follow through to completion
- Ability to think outside of the box and drive change.
