We have a fantastic new opportunity for someone with experience in British Army / Land capability, technical and stakeholder knowledge for a high profile and exciting opportunity as the Key Account Manager (Land) for

Leonardo Electronics UK.

This role is set within the changing strategic global context and sees exciting opportunities for significant and varied engagement and the utilization of a mix of skills to 'add value' to both the Army Customer and Leonardo.

This role directly supports the Leonardo Electronics lines of business (including; Integrated Sensing and Protection, Electronic Warfare, Customer Support Services and Training, and Radar Advanced Targeting Systems).

In addition, you will contribute to work more widely across the Electronics Division, the Helicopters Division the Cyber Divisions and the Leonardo UK Corporate Centre - especially on strategy, stakeholder engagement and sponsorships. In addition, you will work very closely with your fellow Leonardo Key Account Managers - (Royal Navy, the RAF, and Strategic Command).

The role can be based from our Luton, Basildon or Southampton sites on a hybrid basis. Some travel will be required, mostly within the UK.

What you will do as the Key Account Manager - Land

You will work closely and productively across Leonardo UK and with the British Army in support of capability development and programme delivery.

  • You will drive Leonardo's Electronics' understanding of the Defence / Army 'Land' current and emerging requirements and capability needs, and of the Army's broad direction of travel.

  • With Customer engagement, share and ensure a wide Army / Land 'User' understanding of Leonardo's Electronics capabilities.

  • Identify and qualify emerging new 'Land capability pipeline' opportunities for joint Army/Leonardo benefit and developing the Leonardo Land Value Proposition.

  • In addition, will support broader prosperity / export Land opportunities and the further implementation of the Land Industrial Strategy.

  • Engage with other industry including existing partners and programme teammates.

  • Remain flexible and adaptable for reprioritized activities in support of wider Leonardo objectives.

    Military / Land / Army background - preferably at OF5 / OF6, (Colonel / Brigadier) level with capability development / technical expertise in at least one core area (Armoured Platforms, CEMA, CUAS / Air Defence).

  • Initiative, passion, drive, a willingness and ability to shape, influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Owning a high profile and wide network across the UK 'Land' customer and business / industry community. International (US, Italy, MENA) would be very useful.

  • Experience and recognition of the need of translating engagement, networking and understanding into business value.

  • People and project leadership and management skills, with experience of diverse and multi-discipline teams and individuals, with emotional and cultural awareness - are essential.
