Full Job Description

The Key Client Director (KCD) is responsible for building and maintaining the strategic partnership with Key Clients to position Maersk as the preferred logistics partner.

The Key Client Director will develop relationships with senior stakeholders throughout the customer's global organisation and facilitate the building of effective solutions to help resolve customer logistics pain points. This will help to enable revenue growth, retention and customer satisfaction, in order to achieve the assigned sales, volume and financial targets.,

  • Develop and execute a global account plan for growth in accordance with the strategic plan of the customer.

  • Provide leadership for and engage the global account team for the customer.

  • Collaboration with the Customer Program Management team drive the overall customer experience, ensuring successful business onboarding and compliance throughout the contracting period.

  • Drive the sales pipeline for significant growth.

  • Accountable for the result delivery derived from sales activities within the customer portfolio through the identification, qualifying, consulting, developing value propositions and selling large scale and complex supply chain solutions.

  • Grow logistics share of wallet through selling complex supply chain solutions.

  • Ensure the customer delivers on awarded volume in line with contract commitments and for proactively addressing shortfalls in commitment, with ensuing renegotiations as necessary.

    An industry professional with knowledge of the global retail vertical, from a logistics perspective

  • Someone with excellent communication, networking, interpersonal and influencing skills to communicate at all levels.

  • A leader with the ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment, and create networks across diverse functional and cultural groups.

  • Someone with a proven track record of targeting, pursuing and winning large scale opportunities - selling to Board/Senior Management level.

  • An expert with significant experience in International Supply Chain with ability to understand how supply chain solutions may be leveraged to deliver strategic intent

  • Someone with the ability to engage executive leadership at key points in the sales process.

  • Experience in developing and implementing solutions which integrate products and services and go beyond the sale of a single point solution.

  • Someone who is collaborative, results driven, self-motivated resilient and able to deal with ambiguity.
