Key Stage 1 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Our Head, Mr Adam Pettitt, leads our Senior School and is also responsible for the overall direction of our Pre-Preparatory and Junior Schools.

An enthusiastic, well-qualified class teacher with Key Stage 1 experience is required to join our successful Pre-Preparatory School for 1 year starting in December 2024 or January 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled classroom practitioner with experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 wishing to have an opportunity to teach in a vibrant, popular school with a creative curriculum. Applicants should have the flexibility to adapt quickly to a new environment, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills. An enthusiasm for thoughtful curriculum development and innovation characterises teaching at Highgate.

In 2023, 30 pupils matriculated at either Cambridge or Oxford colleges, whilst others took up places at prestigious Art, Architecture and Medical schools. Every year, the vast majority of our leavers enter Russell Group universities or other elite Higher Education establishments, including in the US and Canada.
