Full Job Description

Highclare Preparatory School is seeking to appoint a class teacher to join our Key Stage 2 team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and learning, and working with young children. This is an opportunity to teach at an excellent independent school, in a brilliant team, amongst our engaged and capable pupils. Experience of excellent teaching in Key Stage 2 would be essential. To be considered for the post, you must be able to demonstrate your strengths as an outstanding pupil-focused teacher, capable of collaborating with colleagues and bringing out the best in all of our pupils. Success in this role will require a commitment to innovation in teaching, learning and curriculum planning. The role is advertised as 0.8 but the possibility of full time may be considered. The successful candidate will be required to teach across both of our Preparatory School settings and therefore own transportation is essential. This post would suit a highly motivated teacher from either a state or independent school background, keen to play a key role in delivering the Highclare School vision and ethos. For further information, please see Job Description. Staff benefits include:

  • Competitive Salary with pension scheme (defined contribution scheme)

  • Opportunity for innovative and creative teaching and learning opportunities without the pressures of national testing
  • Generous fee discount for staff children
  • Free flu vaccines
  • Long service recognition
  • Salary Sacrifice Cycle to Work Scheme available
  • Free parking
  • Staff social events
  • Subsidised lunch
  • For further information and to apply, please see our website via the Apply button. Closing date: Thursday 3 October 2024. Interviews: w/c 7 October 2024.
