Want to join a school with an outstanding reputation for supporting children with additional needs?, The Discovery School is an outstanding and popular, three form entry school, beautifully situated in large, attractive grounds in the heart of the development of Kings Hill. We have recently been inspected by Ofsted (February 2023) and have been judged to be Outstanding in all areas, including overall effectiveness.

We are looking for a dynamic member of staff to join our very talented team of specialist TAs and Key Workers.
This is a unique opportunity to support Year 5 pupil with Physical/ Sensory needs as they move through the school. The role includes monitoring the pupil, facilitating their provision, working with professionals, catch up opportunities for missed learning and taking a lead role in the pupil's inclusion in whole school activities. The pupil's provision is already clearly planned out and structured. Training will be provided as required and you would be supported by an experienced and friendly team. Applicants should have a positive and flexible attitude as well as previous experience supporting children with this type of need.
Are you:
+ Passionate about securing positive outcomes for children with additional needs?

+ An effective communicator, highly skilled in building positive relationships with children, parents and professionals?
Then you sound perfect for us!
We can offer you an outstanding school filled with highly skilled and forward thinking teachers, led by a highly driven leadership team. Our children share our passion and enthusiasm for learning and are well behaved and achieve highly. We have excellent relationships with our families and other professionals and value the development of our staff.
This is a full time role: 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only. Please be advised that this role is linked directly to the child's individual provision and subject to the continued successful application of High Needs Funding; it is therefore a fixed term contract for one year in the first incidence.
We take safeguarding our children extremely seriously and so applicants to this role will be subject to the usual rigorous DBS and reference checks., Our children are happy, confident and well-motivated and we expect the highest standards of behaviour and learning from all of them. We have an outstanding staff team who contribute with enthusiasm and dedication to the life of the school. Our motto is: Be the best that you can be, and this is what we all strive to do every day.
