Full Job Description

Are you a newly-qualified Occupational Therapist, or maybe you have some experience working post-qualification in mental health? Are you passionate about enhancing the lives of older people with severe mental illness and using your occupational therapy skills to promote routine, volition and occupational performance using assessment, practical skills and knowledge? Based in Oxford, this newly created role will be working alongside experienced clinicians to support improved mental health, social inclusion, improved physical health and greater quality of life. You will be professionally supported and the Preceptorship Flyer programme is an example of this - a great way to learn and grow with structured guidance in place.,

  • Engaging older people with severe mental illness
  • Holding a caseload and managing a range of complexity
  • Supporting carers in their role
  • Supporting non-registered staff in developing their skills
  • Contributing to the development of this enhanced service within the Older Adult CMHT
