Full Job Description
The Council offers a wide range of community events, sports projects and activities for children and
young people. Casual staff are required to work alongside our officers to deliver a positive experience for residents. Opportunities will include delivering youth projects (detached youth work, holiday hunger
projects, sports and arts projects), support to town centre and park events, and activities for children.
Applicants should be available to work during evenings, weekends and/or school holidays depending
on the project.
Broxbourne Council is looking for enthusiastic, imaginative and practical people, to join the team in working with children during the school holidays at the Council's Kidz Klub playscheme at the John Warner Sport Centre in Hoddesdon. The successful candidates will have an artistic flare, a passion for sport and should be actively searching for an opportunity to work with children. Previous experience in working with children is required and the Council is especially seeking staff with a relevant qualification in Playwork/Childcare or equivalent (Level 2/Level 3 or higher).
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in these posts.
Play Workers £12.87 per hour (for qualified staff) and minimum wage rates according to age (for unqualified staff), These roles requires an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check.
