Kimchi production assistant

Carrying out daily Kimchi Production duties:

· Ensuring the kimchi recipe is being followed accordingly and accurately

· Preparing fresh ingredients by hand and knife, including raw vegetable products

· Salting the vegetables to draw out the water

· Managing all the Critical Control Points (CCPs) of the fermentation process

· Monitoring temperatures to foster the growth of species

· Packing and accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift, and in spec for packaging dates

· Ensuring products are produced on time

· Oversee the ordering and control of stock levels

· Ensure wastage is minimised by careful supervision of kimchi preparation methods

· Ensuring correct use, storage and stock level management of relevant raw materials (etc)

· Maintaining a high standard of food safety and hygiene standards throughout the production

· Over 1 year experience working in a kimchi production environment or similar position in previous employment is desired but not essential as training will be given

· To be aware, adhere to and understand Food Hygiene and Food Safety regulations, safe methods of work including the handling and use of knives and machinery. Food Hygiene and Safety Level 2 qualification is essential. HACCP level is essential (if not available training will be provided)

· Experience in kitchen, food preparation, bakery environment would be beneficial

· Full flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends in line with business needs

· Capable of physical work

· Highly proficient in spoken and written English

· Ability to work well in a team in a fast-paced production environment

· Strong communication and time management skills

· Strong record keeping abilities

· Positive and committed attitude to work
