Full Job Description

We have a busy school kitchen, serving an average of 400 school meals per day. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work as part of a small, friendly team over the lunchtime period.

The role will include food preparation; serving food; clearing away food and cleaning up after service; maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards to comply with statutory and school regulations; and other duties as required.

The successful candidate will be hardworking, highly motivated, adaptable, organised with good time management skills and committed to the role. A good sense of humour, flexibility and willingness to be part of a team are also essential attributes.

Experience in a kitchen is desirable but full training will be given. The successful candidate will hold (or be willing to undertake) Level 2 qualifications in Food Hygiene, Allergy Awareness and Health & Safety.

Actual salary: £6,682 per annum (£12.26 per hour)

12½ hours per week (Monday to Friday 11.30am to 2.00pm)
