An opportunity has arisen to join our Catering team at our care home as a Kitchen Assistant for bank shifts. The main responsibility of the role is to provide general food preparation and cleaning service for the kitchen.,
- Preparing and serving food
- To prepare residents meal trolleys and trays to the correct and specified standard prior to serving meals
- Participate in general kitchen duties as required
- To ensure high standard of hygiene and cleanliness are adhered to and maintained at all times within the kitchen
- We will pay for your DBS / PVG disclosure certificate

The ideal person for this role would have previous kitchen experience but this is not desirable and full training will be provided.
As a Kitchen Assistant, it is essential you have good communication skills and can work well within a team and individually.
The role would suit someone who has the ability to prioritise tasks, has a flexible approach and is energetic and hard working.
It is also important that you have good time management, great record keeping and organisational skills.
A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, or you will be willing to undertake the relevant training to gain this qualification.
