We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team on a zero-hour contract, offering flexibility and the chance to make a difference every day., As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support our kitchen team to ensure the smooth operation of meal service for our residents. You will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment and assisting in the preparation and serving of meals. Responsibilities:

• Assist in food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and plating meals.
• Serve meals to residents in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean, organized, and meet all hygiene and health standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to the highest standard.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and care teams to ensure residents' dietary needs and preferences are met.
  
  Previous experience in a kitchen or catering role (preferred but not essential).
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts as needed, including weekends and public holidays
