Full Job Description

Would you like the opportunity of being part of a team at the beginning of a care homes journey; building its reputation as a leader in residential nursing care, establishing a culture of positivity and inclusivity and strive to provide the best possible care to ensure that the complex needs of our residents are met and exceeded at all times.
We are looking for individuals to assist in the kitchen on weekends only 11 hours per week. The shift times will be either 9-3pm or 8am-2pm
Pay from £11.44 per hour, with enhancement for all overtime.

To prepare menus in advance in a regular and varied way, ensuring that the nutritional requirements are met for all residents, including any specific dietary requirements
To ensure that all meals are prepared and presented to a high standard and quality
Maintain professional knowledge and competence
To ensure that all cleaning is carried out as per company procedure
To be aware of and maintain service user's privacy and dignity at all times
Adhere to and monitor Company's waste policy
Report any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by any of your staff to your Manager immediately
Ensure Environment Health requirements are met and inspections are hosted in a professional manner.
Highlight any concerns, for example equipment , staff or hazards, to the Manager

· Previous experience of working in a kitchen environment or willingness to learn
· Good basic education, willing to undertake NVQ training.
· Experience with the elderly and sensitive to the needs of others.
· Self-motivated and organised an active team player and able to work on own initiative under supervision or to lead others.
· Ability to communicate effectively, in English at all levels and give accurate information when required.
· Satisfactory enhanced DBS and check against the SOVA List (where applicable)
