Kitchen Porter

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team. This full-time role requires 30-40 hours per week between 5pm and 11pm, with availability from Thursday to Sunday being essential. The position includes three evenings dedicated to washing pots and cleaning duties, and two evenings focused on food preparation for the restaurant. Experience with food preparation and safety is beneficial but not mandatory, as full training will be provided.,

• Prepare meat and vegetarian products


• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes


• Sweep and mop floors, and empty garbage and recycling bins


• Assist with food preparation as required


• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers


• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, reporting any issues to the Head Chef


• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed


• Participate in training and development activities as required


• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef
  
  Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is preferred


• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines, with the ability to follow health and safety procedures


• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors


• Strong attention to detail, maintaining a clean and organized workspace


• Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies


• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
