Kitchen Porter

As a kitchen porter you'll need to keep up to speed with dishes and assist the chefs in keeping both the kitchen and equipment clean. At the end of shifts you'll need to be able to follow the end of shift process so that the kitchen is ready for the following day.

The Victoria Inn, Threemilestone is located on the main bus route into Truro. It's a welcoming pub, restaurant and hotel serving traditional pub food prepared by our well drilled kitchen team. We have a reputation for excellent, friendly, attentive service. We have been awarded Heart of the Community Award by the British Institute of Inn keeping (BII).

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic Kitchen Porter with a love for all things food and drink and a passion for excellent service to join our small, committed team.

You will be

A Team Player. The brigade is a close knit bunch and you will be someone who helps raise the spirits of your team.

The Heartbeat of the kitchen. Without you, we cannot cook and deliver our amazing food. You will ensure the chefs have what they need and the kitchen is spick and span.

Ambitious. Are you a Head Chef or FOH Manager of the future? If so, we will help and support you on your journey.

The kitchen porter position is a crucial role in the business and requires speed, eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness Many of the senior leadership team have started off in the role and progressed through the company.

If you are keen to learn, hungry to prove yourself with ambition to progress then this is a great starting position. Food is provided during your shift to include homemade soups, chicken wraps, healthy carvery vegetables to name a few.

Shifts can be either 10am-5pm 5 days a week or 4pm-10pm., Full time or part time hours available
