Full Job Description

A co-educational independent day school for 4-11 year olds in Balham, London. Catering for about 500 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of AM snack, Lunch, PM snack and Hospitality & events at this location. This is a term time only contract working Monday to Friday. The school benefits from great transport networks.

  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Great team player
  • Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
  • Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
  • Operate industrial dishwasher
  • We are looking for:
  • Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Organisation Skills.
  • Knowledge / competencies:
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
