Full Job Description

An independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18 in Ascot, Berkshire. Catering for 300 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch supper, AM snack and afternoon snack. There is a considerable amount of hospitality at this location through the year. This is a term-time plus contract working 38 weeks plus 2 weeks at easter and 5 weeks over the summer. This is a 7-day operation so working pattern will be 5 days out of 7 including some weekends during term time. Additional benefit to this location is free parking on site.

  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
  • Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
  • Operate industrial dishwasher
  • We are looking for:
  • Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Organisation Skills.
  • Knowledge / competencies:
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred

    We are looing for 2 full time positions, one role will be on a rota of early and late shifts, working 5 days from 7, 40 hrs per week. The 2nd role is for an evening and weekend postion, working 40 hrs per week but working every weekend during term time. You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.,
