At Age UK East Grinstead & District, we're dedicated to supporting older people and carers in the community. Based at the Glen Vue Centre, we provide a welcoming, 'home from home' environment, offering a wide range of activities, outings, holidays, and support services. And we need friendly, dedicated individuals like you to help us continue making a difference! What You'll Do: As a kitchen volunteer, you'll be an essential part of our team, helping to create a warm and enjoyable café experience for our members. Here's how you'll contribute: Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and serving: Work alongside our Catering Manager and kitchen staff to help prepare and serve tasty meals for our café. Lend a hand with kitchen tasks: Help keep things running smoothly by washing up, drying up, and tidying the kitchen and storeroom as needed. Set up and clear tables: Ensure the café is always ready for our members, helping with table arrangements and keeping things clean and welcoming. Ready, Teamwork: You'll be part of a supportive and friendly team, so being able to work well with others is key. Communication: Engaging with both staff and our café visitors, you'll need to be approachable, friendly, and able to communicate effectively. Organizational Skills: You'll help ensure the café runs smoothly, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, and assisting with setting up and clearing down. Attention to Detail: Ensuring cleanliness, safety, and food quality are maintained will be an important part of the role.,
