Full Job Description

As a Kitchenette / Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation in the self- service areas. You will be responsible for restocking and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards and providing excellent customer service to users.,

  • Restock self service area with food, snacks, and beverages according to inventory levels and client preferences.
  • Monitor self service areas for cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring they always meet health and safety standards.
  • Perform routine Cleaning such as cleaning coffee machine.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, and stock taking.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service to users, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints.
  • Always represent the company in a professional manner, maintaining a positive and approachable demeanor with clients and customers.
  • Assist with other catering duties and tasks as assigned by supervisors
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering events as needed, including transporting tea and coffee supplies to event locations.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
  • Log any maintenance or repair needs with the facilities team, including issues with coffee machines and other appliances.

  • To set up meeting rooms and dining rooms as required for service.
  • To set up events and bespoke meetings as required for service.
  • To serve all food with the correct equipment and present it well.
  • To prepare and deliver beverages and hospitality treats prior to meetings start, according to the booking platform.
  • To clear the rooms in a timely manner, according to the food safety regulations.
  • To follow guidelines for allergen management controls.
  • To have a positive, open and helpful attitude towards customers.
  • To seek appropriate/necessary knowledge of all food items served throughout the Hospitality area
  • To always keep the kitchen and Hospitality areas clean and tidy.

  • Support Client Services tasks as needed, which may include covering for staff shortages, sickness, or holidays
  • Where required ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service

  • To have a good understanding of food, wine, and menu terminology, to be able to advise customers if required, as to the cooking methods of specific dishes & request allergy information.
