KS3 Maths Lead

Start date: January 2025 Salary: MPS/UPS with TLR 2a Contract Type: Full Time Contract Term: Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated and able KS3 Leader of Maths to assist in leading our successful Maths faculty at Fir Vale Academy. We are looking for an excellent practitioner to work collaboratively with the Faculty lead for Maths to develop colleagues in delivering outstanding lessons and develop the Maths curriculum, raising academic achievement and ensuring all pupils make outstanding progress. You will be:

• Able to inspire pupils of all abilities within Maths to achieve their highest potential across Key Stage 3
• Able to develop the KS3 Maths curriculum to be accessible, challenging and enjoyable for all learners.
• Able to confidently manage behaviour for learning throughout Key Stage 3 within the faculty
• Committed to delivering consistently outstanding teaching and ability to share your practice with others in a constructive and collaborative manner
• Contribute to the strategic development of the faculty by implementing new initiatives, monitoring and reporting on key outcomes, to ensure the faculty meets academic targets
• Responsible and accountable for pupil attainment and achievement, by tracking pupil progress and supporting individual pupils' learning needs, liaising with SLT to report on data and implement intervention strategies
• Able to work alongside the Faculty Lead and Deputy Faculty Lead for Maths to develop outstanding practise
• An outstanding practitioner
• Supportive of the Academy's ethos and values at all times both within the Academy and the wider community
