Full Job Description

We wish to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Science on a permanent basis, with the additional responsibility of leading the KS5 Science curriculum. This is a unique opportunity to join a successful split-site academy as part of a supportive team.

Reporting to the Head of Faculty, the successful candidate will be an outstanding Science teacher able to teach their specialism of Biology, Physics or Chemistry to KS5, able to demonstrate impact in a position of responsibility or the potential to achieve this, and have an enthusiasm that will inspire students to outstanding outcomes.

What the school offers its staff

Our academy operates across two sites. The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our Key Stage 3 students, whilst The Upper Academy specialises in teaching Key Stage 4 and 5. The appointed Science Teacher will initially be based at our Upper Academy in order to carry out their KS5 ARA duties.

The Academies provide staff with the most appropriate and effective support to ensure that their professional development needs are fully met and that there is a high level of challenge in the opportunities they are offered. We have a weekly CPD programme for all and a very strong record of developing staff. We have an excellent track record of providing promotion and responsibility opportunities to staff that aspire to leadership.
